Connecting women to the grace of God and one another, for the purpose of disciples making disciples.

Our Women's Ministry comes alongside our Home Groups to provide specific teaching, training, and encouragement to fulfill the unique role God has given women in His kingdom. Biblical womanhood often runs contrary to what the world teaches us, so we seek, by God's grace, to build women into what the Bible teaches they were created to become.

Our hope is for you to discover that the Bible pictures womanhood in a far more gracious manner than this category has often been portrayed at various times throughout church history. Since God the Father highly values women made in His image, we do too, and we want to help women develop a grace-based understanding of what it means to be a woman. Grace Bible Church's Women's Ministry serves the role of connecting women to the grace of God and one another for the purpose of teaching sound doctrine flowing out of a growing understanding of the Gospel.

Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or slaves to much wine. They are to teach what is good, and so train the young women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled.  - Titus 2:3-5

We are asking each lady to bring either a SWEET snack OR a SAVORY snack to share. Please bring a bible verse that has special meaning to you that you are willing to share.

2017 Fall Bible Study

Using The Good Book Study Guide: Women of Faith, we will investigate women from the Old Testament - women who, despite the differences of time and culture, had the same ordinary lives, common hardships, and unforeseen crises that we experience. They lived in a world with the same problems as ours: selfishness, greed, jealousy, cowardice and the many other failings that spoil our lives today. They experienced the same sort of doubts, discouragements, griefs, bewilderment and lapses into sin that we do. And the same almighty, holy God, who intervened in their lives, still speaks to us today.

We’ll look at these eight women in the order they appear in the Old Testament. They are certainly not perfect paragons that will simply defeat and discourage us. Between them they represent a whole variety of backgrounds, situations and experiences with actions ranging from successful to disastrous. We see how God is interested in ordinary sinful people like us, and how He can use us to bring about His perfect plans plus teach us how to respond to challenges such as temptation, doubt, fear, discouragement, intense longing, and the demands of our everyday lives.

Most importantly, we’ll discover that behind each woman stands the Lord Himself - always loving, always faithful, always in control, always working out His perfect plans, now revealed to us in Jesus Christ. By studying the lives of these women, not only can we’ll learn practical lessons about how to live God’s way in God’s world and come to know God in a deeper way.
