A Lot to Catch Up On

Fellas:
Hope things are going well for you by God's grace. I am so thankful for the privilege I have to oversee the Men's Ministry and I want to thank you for your many encouraging comments. I want to encourage you guys and tell you how exciting it's been to see a large group of men come together to pursue what Paul told Timothy was "sound doctrine". James 4:6 promises grace to those who humble themselves before the Lord and that's what I witness every time we gather for these meetings.
I have a large number of items I want to cover with you so I will jump right in.
Time Change
It's official! We've changed the time for our Men's Ministry meetings to 8a-10a so guys can get done and get home to their families much sooner. Thank you all for your patience through the first three meetings as we sorted out the details. I'd ask you for your continued patience as we seek to further tweak and improve our meetings.
Chapters 6-7 & Stuart McCray
We're still progressing through Jerry Bridges' book The Gospel For Real Life. We are nearly at the midpoint of our reading through this helpful resource. For our Saturday, February 4 meeting it would be helpful if you'd read and be prepared to discuss chapters 6-7. Barring another illness Kevin Jeanes will be back leading a time of worship. We also will have the privilege to hear from Stuart McCray during this meeting. Stuart will close the meeting by helping us think through how to practically apply what we've read and learned through chapters 6-7. Stuart, a former pastor, is a gifted man who understands doctrine and how to live in the good of it. I am eager for you to come out and learn from him.
Maybe you've not yet made it out to a Men's Ministry meeting and that's OK. It's never too late to join us. If you do not have the book or, for some reason, cannot get your reading in before the meeting, please come anyway as the discussions alone will be beneficial.
