What We Believe

Jesus As a church, we are unashamed followers of Jesus. We believe that Jesus is alive today and fixing things that have been broken by sin. We believe that Jesus is fully God and fully man, the Son of God, the redeemer who reconciled us to the Father through His obedience, even to death. It is through Jesus' life, death and resurrection that God has made a way for us, His enemies, to become His friends by fully forgiving our sins. The Bible tells us that when we believe the Gospel we become instant members of God's eternal family. As God's family, we are called to do life together and at Grace we believe the best context to do this is in Home Groups. We are a church of Home Groups, helping and serving one another as the Holy Spirit gives us grace to change more and more into Jesus' likeness. Our Home Groups are about a lot more than just getting together for a meal or snacks every once in a while. These groups are the main way we seek to understand and to apply God's truths to our lives. They are also about mutual sacrifice. Living life together as a biblical community is about daily putting the needs of others ahead of our own. It can be as simple as helping someone move, making dinner for a sick friend or watching a couple's kids so they can go on a date. Living as a biblical community is also about helping people remember and apply the grace of God to how we think about and process our lives. Home Groups are really a place where we learn to live by the ongoing grace that comes to us through the Gospel. God's grace, given to us in an ongoing way because of our trust in all of the good news of Jesus' life, death and resurrection that secured our salvation, is the only hope we have for change in our lives. The Gospel is not just the "first step" in the Christian life; it is the Christian's life. Therefore our Home Groups are centered on the teaching of Scriptures and reminding one another of how God's grace is able to help us in an ongoing way.Learn more or come visit one of our Home Groups. Our mission is to make maturing vibrant followers of Jesus. We have the privilege, because of the Gospel's ongoing effect in our lives, to be called God's ambassadors to the world, making His good news of reconciliation known [see 2 Cor 5:18-20]. All of this is to say, Grace is a church that strongly values the mission of making maturing and vibrant followers of Jesus. We give our time, talents and resources to serve one another and the community around us. Most of all, we desire to make Jesus known to our neighbors through our relationships, service and by telling them the good news of Jesus Christ.
