Charla grew up in Kansas, where she met her husband when they both attended Kansas State University. After her husband's 20 years in the USMC and lots of moves, they landed in N. Virginia. It looks like they are staying! They have two wonderful kids – a daughter and a son. Charla has a business and a nonprofit background, and enjoys the administrative projects that she does here at Grace. Charla tried to live without God for many years, running in the opposite direction. However, He never gave up and continued to gently pursue her. He saved her at age 29.
