James grew up in a Christian home where attending Sunday school and bible study were frequent. During a summer youth retreat to Word of Life camp, he accepted Christ into his heart as Lord and Savior for the first time. He rededicated his life during his Junior year in High School and grew spiritually as God provided opportunities to serve in campus ministries while pursuing his engineering degrees at Virginia Tech. James currently serves as an Elder on the Grace Bible Church leadership team and has been attending Grace since 2005 with his wife, Angie and daughters, Emme (11), Claire (9), Natalie (6), and Charlotte (4). Both he and his wife have lived in Northern Virginia dating back to elementary school and are also both proud VA Tech Hokie alumni. James works for a small security software company which he started a few years ago based in the Tysons Corner area.

He currently also serves as the Home Group Ministry coordinator and enjoys helping new families get acquainted to the area and feel part of the Grace family. Prior to attending Grace, James and his family attended Immanuel Bible Church in Alexandria, VA while also helping to start a new multi-cultural community church in Falls Church, VA where he served as the director of operations, deacon, and young-adult ministry leader.

James enjoys eating Korean food, spending time with family and friends, and playing basketball.
